The Varsity Centre offer the best squash facilities in Guildford and is the England Squash Regional Centre of Excellence and home to UniSPORT Guildford who play in the national Premier Squash League. In addition to this the Varsity Centre has 5 squash courts (2 glass back) and has over 200 members including an active junior section. The Varsity has a strong commitment to developing the game of squash and delivering the game to the local community and the university.
Squash Membership
If you want to improve your squash, play in competitions and leagues or just want to hit a ball then the squash membership can offer you the best opportunites:
14 day advanced booking - Members are allowed to book courts up to 14 days in advance. There are no court charges for members.
Club leagues - There are evening and lunchtime leagues, as well as a Ladies, Junior, Junior mini-squash, tennis and racketball ladders.
Club competitions - As well as the yearly club championships, there are also other regular competitions.
Graded tournaments - The Varsity also runs graded tournaments, in line with England Squash gradings.
Surrey Cup - The Varsity has 4 men's, 4 Junior, a Ladies, a Vets and a Vintage team in the Surrey Cup, as well as a PSL team in the National League.
Club night - Every week on a Sunday at 7pm, many members come along for some social squash.
Club social evenings - The Varsity holds social evenings, such as curry nights for members and their friends/families.
